I think TSA Screening is a good thing. Even though it has some negative characteristics, it does much more good than harm. The full body scanners can't see your body parts so it does not invade your privacy. The pat-downs are also necessary if you alarm the scanner or you don't want to go through it. The radiation it emits is such a small amount it doesn't harm you. The scanning of your luggage and carry-on items ensure that no dangerous material is boarded on a plane. Since you know that your luggage will be screened, you can make sure you don't bring any personal items that you don't want people to see.
I do think there are ways that the system could be improved. First, to remind the public of the screening rules (like items you need to remove from your body and items you can't carry on the plane), airlines could email the rules to every passenger when they buy a ticket. If that doesn't work, they could require passengers to read through the rules before they buy a ticket. Secondly, they should have more scanners available so the lines would be shorter. This will be expensive, but maybe they could put a tax on things people buy at the airport (food, drinks, magazines, etc.) to help pay for them.
